About The Position

Gordon Food Service takes pride in delivering seamless order processing and delivery to our customers; our warehouse staff is the backbone of our success. As a Credit Return Clerk, you'll be essential in preparing GFS products for return to stock, donation, or destruction. You'll perform inventory adjustments, operate a forklift or pallet jack to move product within the warehouse, and process all return trailer products by the end of your day.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Industrial Vehicle (PIV) certification required.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage and a background check.

Responsibilities

• Operates a forklift or pallet jack machine to move product within the warehouse.
• Ensures every returning driver is followed up with credits written for the day and the reason they returned cases to the warehouse.
• Utilizes various computer programs to validate credits.
• Determine the condition of the GFS product to salvage it as appropriate.
• Processes all PIR cases and CVD cases by close of day.
• Processes all return trailer products by close of day.
• Processes all RTV requests by Inventory Control and ensures that all product pallets meet quality assurance guidelines.
• Performs inventory adjustments as they occur.
• Performs housekeeping duties including sweeping, mopping, cleaning spills, and other housekeeping activities daily.
• Adheres to the mission and cornerstone values and applicable practices of the organization.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
