About the position

The Creative Director will be responsible for driving creative excellence and overseeing conceptual and design projects for our client's portfolio. They will collaborate with creative teams to ensure the quality of ideas and end-to-end design execution, while also inspiring and supporting the teams at all levels. The Creative Director will play a significant role in advancing a positive and highly productive ideas/design culture for the client. They should have a deep understanding of relevant trends in the creative industry and possess a varied skillset that includes conceptual thinking, copy/design/art direction, and knowledge of digital content, motion design, social and ecommerce platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct conceptual and design projects
  • Collaborate with creative teams to ensure quality of ideas and design execution
  • Inspire, lead, and support creative teams at all levels
  • Define and advance a positive and highly productive ideas/design culture
  • Combine understanding of relevant trends with varied skillset
  • Passion for innovative and effective creative excellence
  • Monitor quality of design projects and seek feedback
  • Direct and review team's work for highest quality and brand compliance
  • Champion best practice and creative excellence
  • Propose and implement innovative ways of delivering design services
  • Mentor and manage the creative team
  • Lead regular/annual creative reviews per client
  • Master a variety of brand tone of voice and visual identities
  • Drive training and development of the department
  • Drive creative excellence and lead client awards submissions
  • Collaborate with team members from other disciplines
  • Be the creative face of the client
  • Develop effective working relationship with colleagues and client
  • Keep client's leadership team up to date with creative work
  • Help build creative culture within the team
  • Support team in expanding the portfolio within all client portfolios
  • Plug into the wider client Global creative team
  • Complete timesheets and drive compliance within the creative team
  • Proven creative excellence with ability to generate exceptional ideas
  • Ability to communicate and liaise with all levels in the business
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to effectively manage creative teams
  • Ability to give clear and concise direction
  • Ability to build a creative culture that enables inclusivity
  • Ability to adapt to different working environments or project teams
  • Grasp of how content can play out across multiple mediums

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of relevant trends in the creative, FMCG, pharmaceutical, and financial services industries
  • Conceptual thinking, copy/design/art direction for all forms of digital content
  • Understanding of motion design, social and ecommerce platforms, and their ways of working
  • Passion for innovative and effective creative excellence
  • Ability to inspire and lead a creative team
  • Proven ability to generate exceptional ideas and contribute to copy and design details
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Effective management of creative teams
  • Clear and concise communication and liaison with all levels of the business
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
