About the position
As the Creative Director at MeUndies, you will be responsible for driving the creation and execution of all campaigns across sales channels. You will lead the creative vision for the broader creative team, supporting brand, growth, retention, marketplace, and wholesale account marketing initiatives. This role requires excellent creative, communication, and leadership skills, as well as experience managing a DTC-first, omni-channel creative team. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the brand's identity, language, and visuals, while also collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement a unified vision for long-term growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and steer brand identity, language, and visuals
- Lead the broader creative strategy and production development across all brand touchpoints
- Assist the project lead and Creative Operations by advising on timelines, resources, and needs for creative projects
- Oversee in-progress design, photography, and video of all projects
- Partner with casting and styling teams to create the studio ethos/creative direction
- Foster a thriving and creative work environment for the creative team
- Foster close working relationships with Product, Merchandising, Growth, and Brand teams
- Work with the PMO team and Creative Operations to ensure timely production
- Run and manage all weekly Creative Review meetings and work-in-process Creative Team meetings
- Ideate and pitch multi-platform/multi-medium concepts
- Constantly track competitor and market trends
- Support UX/UI teams to improve the overall user experience and visual presentations
- Manage and direct outside agencies for creative development and execution
Requirements
- BA in Design or similar discipline
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in creative direction
- Served in a Creative Director role for a well-known, direct to consumer brand
- Thorough understanding of print/web production, functionality, site architecture, navigation, UX, email marketing standards, interactive design principles, packaging, etc.
- Advanced knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Premiere, Flash, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, PowerPoint, Keynote, Acrobat, and FTP protocol. Experience in JIRA a plus
- Strong typography skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Maintain a consistently professional and positive attitude with an openness to change and new ideas
- Strong ability to receive and assess constructive feedback and adjust designs appropriately
- Reinforces a culture of constructive feedback, clear communication, and creative direction
- Bring new ideas and outside-the-box thinking to the work
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to articulate creative concepts and collaborate across disciplines with team members at all levels
- Ability to translate marketing direction into engaging, functional, and friendly user interface designs
- Must have full studio designer capabilities. You will be executing as well as giving feedback.
