About The Position

The Court Interpreter position involves providing language interpretation services for the 20th Judicial Circuit Courts, specifically for Spanish and English. The role requires performing interpretation during various legal proceedings and ensuring effective communication for individuals interacting with the court system. This position is essential for maintaining the integrity of legal processes and supporting non-English speaking individuals in understanding court proceedings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in English, the source language, or a closely related field, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training in interpretation, translation, linguistics, or education.
• Two years of court/legal related experience, with additional relevant education substituting for experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License.
• Must be registered with the State of Florida Court Interpreter Certification Board.
• Certified Court Interpreter by the Court Interpreter Certification and Regulation Program (CICRP) of the Office of the State Courts Administrator (OSCA), Florida State Courts System (required to obtain within one year of hire).
• Biennial Renewal and Continuing Interpreter Education (CIE) Compliance Requirement.

Responsibilities
