Counsel, Litigation and Investigations

This role is for a skilled litigator with an entrepreneurial spirit who will be responsible for contributing to legal strategy, managing litigation and investigations, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will work closely with outside counsel, lead the company's subpoena response process, and collaborate with various departments to identify and manage risks. Additionally, they will analyze and provide guidance on evolving rules and regulations in the tech and healthcare industries. The role also involves building and implementing an improved data and document management system for the legal function.

• Contribute to legal strategy and day-to-day management of any pending litigation and investigations, including HR and other employment matters
• Liaise with and provide direction to outside counsel
• Lead and improve the company's subpoena response process
• Assist with regulatory compliance and legal operations work when needed, and work closely with the Trust and Safety, Customer Operations and People Operations functions
• Work cross-functionally to identify, investigate, and manage risks across the business
• Analyze and provide guidance to the company on evolving rules, regulations, compliance requirements, and trends impacting the tech and healthcare industries
• Build and oversee the implementation of an improved data and document management system for the legal function

• Skilled and concise writer and communicator
• Experience with litigation and investigations
• Familiarity with navigating internal databases and collecting complex sets of data
• Ability to contribute to legal strategy and manage pending litigation and investigations
• Experience liaising with and providing direction to outside counsel
• Knowledge of subpoena response process
• Understanding of regulatory compliance and legal operations
• Ability to identify, investigate, and manage risks across the business
• Analytical skills to provide guidance on evolving rules, regulations, compliance requirements, and trends impacting the tech and healthcare industries
• Experience building and overseeing the implementation of data and document management systems for the legal function
