About The Position

Requirements

• A minimum of six years of full-time industry experience is required.
• At least three years of part-time teaching in a community college environment is required.

Nice To Haves

• Current education and knowledge in the cosmetology industry is preferred.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill the duties of a full-time instructor, including holding weekly office hours and completing 24 hours of 'flex credit'.
• Conduct lecture and laboratory classes in cosmetology.
• Participate in outcomes assessment work.
• Assume a workload of forty hours weekly, including class preparation, student evaluation, and committee work.
• Engage in institutional service activities and participate in discipline/department decision-making processes.
• Maintain professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the position.
