About The Position

Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking an Investor Relations ('IR') Analyst reporting to the Vice President of IR in Midland, Texas. The IR Analyst plays a pivotal part in managing and executing Investor Relations' efforts to improve the market's understanding of the company, strengthen relationships with sell-side analysts and investors and broaden buy-side ownership. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with senior management, finance and cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to drive transparent communication, foster investor confidence and support the company's financial objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong technical as well as communication skills and be able to contribute his/her expertise while working on multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required from an accredited University or College
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in investor relations, investment banking, equity research, corporate finance or corporate lending, preferable within the oil and natural gas sector
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts and interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Proven relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish rapport with investors, analysts, executives and other key stakeholders
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis, modeling and presentation development
  • Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy, integrity and transparency in all investor communications and disclosures
  • Ability to manage several time-sensitive projects simultaneously and with necessary urgency while upholding exceptional judgement, discretion and integrity
  • Ability to travel when required
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, including FactSet / Capital IQ and Microsoft Office suite

Responsibilities

  • Support the quarterly earnings process, including preparation and distribution of the press release, earnings call script, Q&A document, analyst estimates, peer analysis, market research and related materials
  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Investor Relations and other members of senior management to develop and implement comprehensive investor communication narratives and strategies aligned with the company's financial goals and messaging objectives
  • Conduct regular evaluation of analyst models and estimates, quarterly shareholder analysis and peer comps to support Investor Relations efforts and strategic decision-making processes
  • Manage and maintain financial models to assess how analyst estimates align with internal forecasts
  • Support the planning and execution of the annual calendar of Investor Relations activities to facilitate direct engagement with investors, analysts and financial community members
  • Collaborate with various internal departments to learn and remain aware of business fundamentals, operational developments, financials, legal activities and other items across the company
  • Serve as an informed resource for investors, analysts and other stakeholders, responding to inquiries, providing timely updates and addressing concerns in collaboration with the Vice President of Investor Relations
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, sell-side analysts and other key stakeholders to enhance the company's visibility and reputation in the market
  • Support senior management in developing board presentations, employee town halls, special projects and conference and roadshow presentations
