About the position
The Coordinator, Retail Marketing will provide operational and administrative support for managing editorial and marketing relationships with various streaming services. They will assist in securing playlist placements, interviews, content captures, and other support for artists and label partners. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Fluency in Spanish and English is required, and previous experience in the music industry is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Retail Team with weekly pitches to streaming services
- Maintain new release grids, long lead schedules, release day recap decks, and more
- Support the Retail Team by maintaining a meticulous release schedule
- Compile artist images, music/video preview links, project descriptions, marketing highlights, and other assets
- Attend and participate in meetings/presentations with accounts, artists, and label teams
- Coordinate with other departments at The Orchard to ensure deliverables and timelines are met
- Assist in the preparation of pitch presentations to streaming services and best practices workshops
- Monitor social media conversations in key spaces to identify trends and viral releases.
Requirements
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Passion for music, trends, and culture
- Eager to learn, self-motivated, and able to anticipate team needs
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace Applications
- Familiarity with Looker
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Previous work or internship experience at a record label or music distribution company is a plus
