About The Position

Carlow University's College of Health and Wellness and School of Nursing is seeking a full-time (12 month) Coordinator for Undergraduate Nursing Clinical Placement and Adjunct faculty to work in our undergraduate nursing department at our Oakland campus to begin on August 15, 2024. The role involves managing undergraduate student clinical placement, onboarding paperwork, clinical schedules, clinical contracts, and organizing of the course and clinical sites/practicum sites as mandated by the School of Nursing's accrediting agencies. Additional duties include recruitment of adjunct faculty, facilitating onboarding of adjunct faculty, managing preceptor assignments and verification of required paperwork, and serving as a primary contact for clinical affiliation agreements. The Coordinator collaborates with program directors to ensure that adjunct clinical faculty and preceptors are prepared with appropriate educational materials regarding their roles and responsibilities, and maintains an effective electronic student tracking system across all clinical nursing programs. The position also requires maintaining relationships with Nursing clinical partners and collaborating with academic program leadership and faculty/staff to achieve and ensure regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Valid, current, unrestricted Pennsylvania RN License.
  • BSN required, MSN preferred.
  • Clearances upon hire and updated every three years to include ACT 153 Clearances (FBI Fingerprints, Child Abuse, and PA State Police).
  • Experience with healthcare technology.
  • Demonstrable success in student engagement.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
