About The Position

The Cook at Golden Corral is responsible for preparing and maintaining the quality, quantity, and freshness of all Hot Choice Buffet products. This role emphasizes speed, cleanliness, and adherence to product specifications, ensuring a high standard of food service for guests.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Hot Choice Buffet products according to Golden Corral recipes and procedures.
• Grill items to ensure quality and freshness.
• Restock items at the Display Cooking Station when necessary.
• Assist guests with carved meat options if the Carver is unavailable.
• Follow the buffet production system for quality and shelf-life compliance.
• Maintain correct temperatures of all products during cooking, holding, and serving.
• Use production guides to maintain inventory of hot cook products.
• Conduct opening and closing administrative procedures.
• Maintain equipment according to the Equipment Maintenance manual.
• Restock and rotate food products using the FIFO method.
• Take inventory of products and check build-to with the Manager at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Ensure cleanliness of the Hot Cook area and smallware's before use.
• Perform duty roster to meet cleanliness, service, and quality standards.
• Follow local health department laws for food safety.
• Keep the Char Grill clean and scraped for product quality.
