The Converting Operator at Pregis is responsible for safely and efficiently operating the converting line to produce finished products that meet manufacturing and quality standards. This role involves machine setup, material staging, and quality checks, while promoting a positive teamwork culture in a fast-paced environment.

  • Safely and efficiently stage necessary material for the converting operation.
  • Perform machine set-up and operate the converting line to produce finished products.
  • Load WIP rolls of material onto the unwinds.
  • Remove excess trim scrap and dispose of it properly.
  • Meet or exceed production quantity and quality standards.
  • Perform quality checks on finished products.
  • Safely operate a forklift to transfer finished products to the warehouse.
  • Operate the band saw safely and efficiently.
  • Relocate finished pallets to designated storage areas.
  • Review Shop Floor orders and perform accurate measurements using a measuring device.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow standardized work instructions.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
  • Familiarity with 5S guidelines for workplace organization.
