The Control Algorithm Engineer at Casco Products Corporation is responsible for developing algorithms and embedded software for evaluating hardware dynamics and control performance in DC/DC and DC/AC converter systems. This role involves hardware design, PCB design support, and troubleshooting, as well as leading the architecture of converter topologies to meet OEM requirements. The engineer will also simulate and model control algorithms using Matlab/Simulink, create and calibrate hardware and control strategies, and validate hardware and software implementations.

  • Develop algorithms and embedded software for hardware dynamics evaluation.
  • Design hardware and capture schematics for DC/DC and DC/AC converters.
  • Provide PCB design support and troubleshoot EMC issues.
  • Lead the hardware architecture for converter topologies to meet OEM requirements.
  • Simulate and develop models for control algorithms using Matlab/Simulink.
  • Create, build, and calibrate hardware and control strategies for ZVS or ZCS.
  • Specify electronics for sensing state variables.
  • Create test plans and validate hardware, control algorithms, and software.
  • Support the implementation of control algorithms into real-time software.
  • Experience in developing algorithms for embedded systems.
  • Proficiency in hardware design and PCB layout.
  • Knowledge of EMC troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience with Matlab/Simulink for simulation and modeling.
  • Ability to create and calibrate control strategies for power electronics.
  • Familiarity with DC/DC and DC/AC converter technologies.
  • Experience with real-time software implementation.
  • Familiarity with OEM requirements in power electronics.
