About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field required.
  • 3+ years of professional contract management, negotiation, or IT vendor management experience.
  • Law degree or experience highly preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office suite and Internet.
  • Strong PDF editing and aggregation and Excel skills.
  • Expert knowledge of contracts negotiation and execution.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and enforce contract language.
  • Knowledge of contract management systems/software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong analytic ability.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Define and document contract requirements, draft new agreements, amendments, addenda, change orders, and terminations.
  • Drive contract negotiations and administration to ensure proper execution and fulfillment.
  • Participate in defining and drafting new processes and controls for vendor management.
  • Advise management on contractual rights, issues, and obligations.
  • Ensure contract terms address primary business risk areas such as indemnification and confidentiality.
  • Synthesize diverse perspectives to arrive at actionable contract decisions.
  • Maintain the status of assigned vendor contracts and engage business owners during the contract lifecycle.
  • Provide guidance on the development of Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Negotiate terms of select contracts within legal, risk, and financial parameters.
  • Compile, analyze, and maintain vendor contract information for reporting purposes.
  • Provide interpretations of vendor contracts and render opinions on contract terms.
  • Prepare and analyze reports, spreadsheets, and data to maintain accurate contract records.
