Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in client satisfaction/success roles.
  • 3+ years of experience in a management role.
  • Passion for sports and the sports media industry.
  • Proven relationships with sports publishers and a track record of successful partnerships.
  • Strong knowledge of key publisher performance metrics (e.g., reach, page views, retention rates).
  • Strong and demonstrable leadership skills.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Deep understanding of digital advertising formats, monetization models, and ad technology.
  • Experience working in an international environment.
  • Willingness to travel frequently domestically and abroad.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a team of highly performing business developers, providing guidance, setting performance goals, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead the development and refinement of a pan-regional growth strategy for WSC's content distribution and monetization (D&M) business.
  • Develop plans, set goals, and coordinate regional GTM execution efforts to maximize D&M value for all partners.
  • Own the entire sales cycle, from outreach and pitching to negotiation and contract execution.
  • Manage and grow existing publisher accounts by addressing concerns, conducting business reviews, optimizing performance, and driving upsell opportunities.
  • Collaborate with business development and account management teams to secure new content and ensure customer satisfaction of WSC rights holders customers.
  • Oversee and manage targeted pipelines of sports and media publishers, demand partners, and advertisers.
  • Work cross-functionally with Finance, Business Operations, and Legal to streamline D&M operations.
  • Partner with Marketing to drive awareness and generate new business opportunities.
  • Represent WSC Sports at conferences and client meetings, building industry presence and fostering relationships.
