About The Position

The Content Creator & Social Media Internship at Volo Kids Foundation is a great opportunity for an individual looking to build their portfolio in digital content creation while gaining valuable hands-on experience in social media management. The internship requires a commitment of 10-15 hours a week, with the ability to work evenings and weekends. The position is located near Metro Center, Washington, DC, and reports to the Programming & Outreach Manager.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in college or recently graduated individual seeking internship hours.
• Proficiency in content creation, including photography and video editing skills.
• Knowledge and experience with CapCut, Premier Pro, Canva, or other video editing software.
• Ability to use their camera and/or iPhone for content capture.
• Pass a background check (provided by the organization).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for content capture, content plans, engagement, and strategy of the local city Instagram page.
• Research the industry's latest trends.
• Create engaging content that showcases Volo Kids programming.
• Work with the local team and national team to edit and refine content to be shared that aligns with the Volo Kids brand.
• Analyze performance metrics of social media posts and provide insights for improvement.
• Work as a site lead at one of our programs.
