About The Position

The Consumables Manufacturing Assembler I is responsible for performing packaging operations for pipette products, including cleaning, harvesting, and managing rejected products. The role involves operating fully automatic equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and maintaining an organized work environment. The assembler must communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated commitment to safety practices and compliance with safety policies.
  • Ability to meet and maintain company standards for job performance, attendance, and conduct.
  • Experience in inspecting and assembling high-quality products per standard procedures.
  • Familiarity with 5S principles and compliance with checklists for assigned areas.
  • Ability to maintain accurate timecards and comply with meal periods policy.

  • Knowledge of quality assurance processes and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform packaging operations for pipette products.
  • Conduct harvesting and cleaning duties related to products.
  • Consolidate and record reasons for rejected products and recycle them properly.
  • Gather and consolidate all rejected tips and rack components by the end of the shift.
  • Segregate piece count and record reasons for rejected tips and packaging materials daily.
  • Operate equipment for all packaging operations, including fully automatic equipment.
  • Check the T-Card and ensure label matches the product.
  • Report issues and pertinent information to production lead or shift supervisor.
  • Wear PPE during the shift and take immediate action to ensure work in progress is within specifications.
  • Share significant information with oncoming shift personnel and report problem areas to the shift supervisor.
  • Return all tools and fixtures to their proper locations after use.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and apply the 5S principle to all packaging steps.
