About The Position

Stephens & Smith Construction Specialty Products Division is currently seeking a full-time dynamic and motivated Field Personnel to join our team. Field Personnel has responsibility for training in material installation procedures, working on floors, patching floors, loading equipment, spraying floors, coating installations, jobsite cleanup, equipment care, meeting deadlines, loading material into mixers, skid loader operating, operating hand tools and/or grinders, communicating with other crew members, and working safely. Your expertise must demonstrate leadership by setting an example in adhering to Safety and Human Resources policies and practices is expected. Upholding Stephens & Smith's mission statement, work ethics, and maintaining quality, safety, and human resources standards is a requirement for FP.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum of six months of prior work experience in the construction field or vocational training.
  • A valid driver's license and an excellent driving record are necessary.
  • Capable of working independently and effectively under pressure to meet project schedules and budgetary constraints.
  • Proficient in operating and possessing ownership of essential equipment such as tape measure, utility knife, hammer, and various small tools commonly used in the trade.
  • Able to work on heights, ladders, scaffolds, and utilize fall protection.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares the site and removes debris and waste materials.
  • Assists the supervisor in material and equipment handling.
  • Addresses any unsafe conditions or behaviors within their capabilities and adhere to all safety procedures.
  • Complies with the company's safety standards and practices, including but not limited to personal protective equipment (PPE), fall protection, and respirator requirements.
  • Possess the capability to acquire knowledge and proficiency in all aspects of field operations, tools, and equipment, adhering to company personnel, production, and safety standards.
  • Demonstrates exceptional work ethics, including punctuality, reliability, and honesty.
  • Exhibits strong time management skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Goes above and beyond expectations to ensure the completion of tasks, surpassing the supervisor's expectations.
  • Takes full accountability for all actions and their consequences.
  • Respects diversity and authority, and applies the Golden Rule at all times.
