About The Position

The Connect Lending Loan Auditor is responsible for processing, auditing, and funding loans at Vanderbilt Mortgage. This full-time position requires collaboration within a team to ensure accuracy in loan documentation and compliance with regulations. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required, college preferred.
  • 1-2 years related experience required.
  • Strong computer skills with ability to navigate Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective communication skills via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Ability to gather facts accurately and analyze causes.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Workday is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze a large volume of loan documents with high accuracy.
  • Audit loan documents, identifying and escalating discrepancies.
  • Ensure final overview of loan files before funding.
  • Request corrections or additional information from sellers and title companies.
  • Resolve issues with urgency to ensure timely loan completion.
  • Document detailed notes of loan files in the Loan Originations System (LOS).
  • Monitor volume to manage daily time and priorities effectively.
  • Communicate issues with business partners, applicants, sellers, and other departments.
  • Follow up on outstanding checklist items to ensure loans are funded.
  • Provide process education to title companies and retail home centers.
  • Conduct pre-reviews on closing files and communicate necessary investigations.
  • Attend training sessions and meetings for process improvements and team building.
  • Provide peer-to-peer coaching and maintain strong working relationships with all departments.
