Sony Imageworks Quebec is seeking a compositor to combine layers of previously created materials to create final images that meet artistic direction. The compositor will integrate foreground, mid-ground, and background scenes to extend a set, scene, environment, or effect and incorporate digital characters or objects into scenes. The role requires the ability to compose multiple types of plans, from simple to moderately difficult, and a deep knowledge of software, particularly Nuke. A two-year degree or one-year certificate is desirable, but relevant experience of at least 2-3 years may be accepted. Applicants must provide a demo reel illustrating their relevant artistic and technical experience. • Create a seamless transition between filmed sequences and composed content.
• Responsible for achieving efficiency and quota goals.
• Ability to compose multiple types of shots, from simple to moderately difficult.
• Thorough knowledge of software, particularly Nuke.
• A 2-year degree or 1-year certificate is preferred, but relevant experience of at least 2-3 years may be accepted.
