About The Position

The Compliance Officer II for the Electronic Vehicle Registration (EVR) Program is responsible for providing guidance and support to EVR Permit Holders and associated Service Providers during onboarding and implementation. This role involves conducting on-site audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to all relevant rules, regulations, and standards of the EVR Program. The officer will work closely with stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain compliance, contributing to the overall success of the EVR Program.

Requirements

  • Three years of full-time experience in investigatory or law enforcement work, or equivalent part-time experience.
  • Possession of a current and valid Massachusetts Class D Motor Vehicle Operator's License may be required.
  • An Associate's or higher degree may substitute for the required experience.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of EVR Program policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with Permit Holders and Individual EVR Participants to resolve registration issues.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations in the issuance of registration materials.
  • Conduct on-site visits to Permit Holder locations for compliance checks.
  • Examine and audit records related to license plate and decal maintenance.
  • Review Permit Holder transactions to assess knowledge of Individual EVR Participants.
  • Troubleshoot policy and system-related problems for the EVR Program Team.
  • Attend meetings related to the EVR Program as required.
  • Provide feedback on training curriculum and assist in training classes.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance and successful processing.
  • Assist in scheduling installations and site overviews for new Permit Holders.
  • Submit detailed weekly status reports to the External Services Coordinator.
  • Participate in the complaint process by conducting audits and compliance visits.
  • Cross-train in Registration Departments for additional support.
  • Maintain accurate location records for assigned regions.
  • Enter current contact information in ATLAS for all locations.
