Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Two years of full-time equivalent professional analysis and intranet or web building experience.
  • 1+ years of experience with SharePoint or other intranet/web-building platforms.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office applications: SharePoint, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Exceptional written communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving ability with a focus on data-driven recommendations.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using SharePoint 365 Cloud environment.
  • Experience with virtual collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and video conferencing.
  • Experience with Adobe products including Acrobat Pro and Photoshop.
  • Knowledge of department systems and software programs used by the Minnesota Department of Revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and enhance communication strategies for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate communication efforts to ensure key messages are delivered clearly and efficiently.
  • Design, create, review, and edit content for internal and external communications, including websites and publications.
  • Ensure compliance with state tax filing requirements and provide support to staff and the public.
  • Provide training and support to Revenue employees on communication software and technical equipment.
