About the position
Tripadvisor is seeking a Commercial Development Lead to join their team and drive media revenue growth in key accounts and categories. This individual will be responsible for developing strategies to penetrate the travel landscape and win in non-endemic categories. They will also foster relationships with senior stakeholders, develop new opportunities, and represent Tripadvisor externally. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of media experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for the travel and digital advertising industry.
Responsibilities
- Accelerate advertising revenue through diverse strategies to further penetrate the travel landscape and win in key non-endemic categories with great growth potential.
- Own category specific and account specific strategies, in partnership with individual reps and sales leaders, to win by developing Tripadvisor's unique positioning and opportunities leveraging internal capabilities, client feedback, and competitive and market insights to drive and impact long-term ad revenue.
- Develop and foster relationships with senior-level stakeholders at key brands with the goal of shifting ad spend from spots and dots to 'always on'.
- Partner closely with leadership and key stakeholders to develop and drive strategies around enhancing existing products and ideating on net new opportunities (enhanced ads, premium integrations, commerce-enabled content, shopping ads, and marketplace) to fill category gaps and enhance our consumer value proposition.
- Develop white-papers and thought leadership tailored to key categories and long-term travel outlook.
- Represent Tripadvisor at senior client meetings, key industry events, and various press opportunities.
- Strong communication skills with an ability to present and storytell.
- Passion and knowledge of the travel landscape and the digital advertising industry.

Requirements
- 8+ years minimum media experience with strategy, consulting, publishing, or agency background
- Strong communication skills with an ability to present and storyteller
- Passion and knowledge of the travel landscape and the digital advertising industry

- Competitive salary range of $140,000 to $190,000
- Possibility of higher salary based on relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs
