  • Develops designs, layouts, construction drawings, and a bill of material for relatively complex systems and on a number of smaller projects or portions of a larger project for the installation/removal/modification of utility infrastructure on Exelon's electric generation, transmission, distribution, gas and telecommunication facilities/systems.
  • Interprets and applies engineering standards and memos.
  • Assists with technical consultation, plan developments and recommendations for customer and company systems and processes.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of current design processes.
  • Participates on teams to design high voltage transmission and distribution circuits, meeting all engineering standards and criteria.
  • A bachelor's degree in a technical field and 0-3 years of technical experience, an associate's degree in a technical field and 2 - 5 years of relevant technical experience, or 5-7 years of technical experience or equivalent education if non-degreed or a non-technical or engineering degree.
  • Successful completion of the Technician Occupations Selection Systems (TECH) test.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge and ability to apply problem-solving approaches.
  • Knowledge of construction, operations or engineering principles and practices.
  • Good knowledge and experience with regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods, and practices necessary to perform routine assignments for a specific discipline installations, or service.
  • Proficient Computer Drawing and Computer Assisted Design skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Relevant experience in a military role (transmission, distribution, gas, power systems, etc.), project management, journey-level electrician or gas technician, field operations, or other utility related experience.
  • Relevant educational experience includes company sponsored training programs (ex. PowerUp Academy) or other educational programs.
  • Annual salary will vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $74,400.00/Yr. - $102,300.00/Yr.
  • Annual Bonus for eligible positions: 7%
