About The Position

The AES Corporation is seeking an intern to assist with Analyst assignments focused on developing pricing strategies for cost recovery and supporting regulatory compliance initiatives. This role involves working under direct supervision to contribute to AES Ohio's Tariffs and rate case initiatives, while also evaluating state and federal energy policies. The intern will gain hands-on experience in pricing and regulatory analysis within a leading global energy company committed to innovation and sustainability.

Requirements

• Pursuing a four-year degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or Engineering.
• Academic standing of Junior status or higher preferred.
• Skilled in researching information and compiling data.
• Project management skills including developing and maintaining project work schedules.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to work independently.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 and other SaaS applications.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with regulatory compliance and energy policies.
• Familiarity with pricing strategy development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and present pricing proposals for individual rate components to the Regulatory team.
• Participate in the use and development of moderately complex analytical tools to support regulatory pricing initiatives and filings.
• Support AES Ohio case initiatives, including rate design, development of testimony, and responding to audits.
• Prepare graphic illustrations to present data comprehensively to leadership.
• Prepare reports and special studies as requested.
• Support efforts of tariffs & rate administration.
• Provide technical reports with objective, fact-based recommendations.
