About The Position

TTM Technologies, Inc. is a leading global manufacturer of technology solutions including engineered systems, radio frequency (RF) components and RF microwave/microelectronic assemblies, and quick-turn and technologically advanced printed circuit boards (PCBs). TTM stands for time-to-market, representing how TTM's time-critical, one-stop manufacturing services enable customers to shorten the time required to develop new products and bring them to market. The CMM Operator measures and verifies completed printed circuit boards meet customer specifications. Using a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), the CMM Operator measures the product's geometric dimensions and verifies results are within tolerance. Professional development is encouraged of the CMM Operator and TTM will support the employee pursuing and obtaining their GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) certification.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and comprehend English written instructions, including manufacturing work orders, customer specifications, blueprints, and shop control documents.
  • Quality centered mindset with strong attention-to-detail and an understanding of mathematical concepts such as x-y axis.
  • Able to be a positive team member while also working independently.
  • Manual dexterity (hand/finger/eye coordination) is essential to the CMM Operator job.
  • General computer skills and ability to update electronic records, enter data into systems, and send emails.
  • Able to sit or stand throughout a shift and independently push, pull, or lift 10-40-pounds.
  • Able to read, write, and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job.
  • Consistently meet attendance requirements. Willingness to work overtime, including weekends as necessary.
  • Comfortable working within a manufacturing environment that includes machinery, moving parts, noise, and chemicals.
  • Ability and willingness to cross-train in other departments, learning to operate other machinery.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience within the aerospace industry or AS9100 or CMM is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Read and accurately understand the shop traveler (job order, instructions, and customer specifications).
  • Set up and operate the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
  • Run the CMM, simple hand tools, and gauges. Enter dimension and measurements data into the electronic records system.
  • Compare results to the customer specifications and independently determine if results are acceptable.
  • Immediately escalate product issues to management or engineering.
  • Consistently evaluate product for quality, verifying departmental procedures are completed accurately.
  • Acquire production materials, set up the production area, and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Follow all safety training and procedures as directed by the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), chemical handling, and hazardous waste.
  • Responsible for immediately reporting all accidents, near misses, and safety concerns.
  • Cross train on operations and equipment within the area.
