About The Position

The Group Exercise Director/Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all group exercise schedules at World Gym Smyrna. This role requires a very positive and energetic personality, a passion for group exercise classes, and excellent communication skills. The Coordinator will work closely with all group exercise staff and club managers to ensure smooth operations and high-quality classes. The position involves tracking member attendance, managing instructor schedules, and maintaining certification records. Additionally, the Coordinator will spend significant time engaging with members to gather feedback and improve class offerings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree preferred or 5 years experience
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) or American Red Cross CPR certification required
• Certifications: ACE, ACSM, AFAA, NASM, NSCA, etc.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all group exercise schedules for World Gym Smyrna
• Communicate with the instructors
• Track member attendance of classes weekly and monthly
• Create a sub-list of instructors to cover classes from being cancelled
• Ensure classes do not get cancelled and all instructors arrive to all classes on time
• Keep updated listing of instructors certification certificates
• Spend 15-20 hours weekly in the club asking members to evaluate classes and gain feedback
• Meet with the club manager regarding marketing/social media
• Be reachable and available for other instructors with questions and emergencies
• Build a network of area instructors and create the best class schedules
• Teach 5 classes per week
