CloudOps Engineer (AWS)

LastPass is seeking a CloudOps Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving software build and deployment pipelines and non-production environments. Your main tasks will include automating the process of building and deploying code, setting up and maintaining environments, and building monitoring and troubleshooting support for production infrastructure. • Design, develop, and improve software build and deployment pipelines and non-production environments
• Automate the process of building and deploying code into different environments (Dev, RC)
• Set up, improve, and maintain non-production environments
• Build monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting support for production infrastructure elements
• Generate ideas and guidance for team and other engineering teams to operate effectively and seamlessly
• Work with architects and security experts to ensure services are secure, reliable, maintainable, and scalable
• Operate and maintain LastPass' AWS based production infrastructure following industry and company-wide best practices
• Thrive standardization and automation efforts of building infrastructure
• Provide 24/7 support on production environment and participate in on-call rotation within team
• Work with monitoring and alerting systems to enable infrastructure self-healing
• Extensive knowledge and experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery processes, DevOps tools and technologies, Linux operating systems, AWS technologies, containerization and orchestration technologies, configuration management tools, and monitoring infrastructure with commercial or open-source monitoring systems.

• Extensive knowledge and experience with:
• Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery processes
• DevOps tools and technologies used across the industry
• Linux operating systems
• AWS technologies
• Containerization (Docker, EKS, ECS) and orchestration technologies (Kubernetes)
• Configuration management tools (Puppet, Ansible)
• Monitoring infrastructure with commercial or open-source monitoring systems (e.g. Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
• Experience in designing, developing, and improving software build and deployment pipelines and non-production environments
• Ability to automate the process of building and deploying code into different environments (Dev, RC)
• Proficiency in setting up, improving, and maintaining environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills for production infrastructure elements
• Passion for complex problem solving and motivation by scale
• Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Knowledge and experience in operating and maintaining AWS based production infrastructure
• Familiarity with industry and company-wide best practices for infrastructure management
• Experience with standardization and automation efforts in building infrastructure
• Availability for 24/7 support on the production environment and participation in on-call rotation
• Familiarity with monitoring and alerting systems for infrastructure self-healing
