About the position

The job overview for this role is that AlphaSense is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cloud Platform engineer to join their team. The engineer will be responsible for maintaining existing AWS infrastructure and extending the capabilities of Kubernetes clusters at an enterprise scale. This is an opportunity to use the latest cloud technologies and improve internal customer environments using cloud capabilities. The role also involves identifying new opportunities to build cloud-based solutions and growing skills at the leading edge of innovation.

Responsibilities

Provide support for maintaining existing AWS infrastructure
Extend the capabilities of Kubernetes clusters with components and operators at enterprise scale
Use the latest cloud technologies to improve internal customer's environments using cloud capabilities
Sharpen skills in DevSecOps and platform technologies such as Kubernetes hosted in public clouds like AWS, GCP, and Azure
Build cloud-agnostic solutions
Identify new opportunities to build cloud-based solutions for internal customers
Support the architecture and implementation of Cloud solutions at an enterprise level
Have experience with containerization and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker
Have experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent expertise in Kubernetes-native IaC tools
Have hands-on experience with AWS services

Requirements

Overall 4 to 7 years of experience with supporting the architecture and implementation of Cloud solutions at an enterprise level.
3+ Years of experience with containerization and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Docker.
3+ Years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent expertise in Kubernetes-native Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Crossplane, AWS Controllers for Kubernetes or Google Config Connector.
Hands-on experience with AWS.
