Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

PayPay is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to work on their AWS-based payment system infrastructure. The engineer will be responsible for architecting and building a robust, scalable, and stable infrastructure, as well as ensuring its security and maintainability. They will also be involved in automating AWS deployments and providing resources for developers to easily deploy on AWS. The ideal candidate should have more than 5 years of technical experience in AWS-based infrastructure architecture and building, as well as experience with IAC tools, Linux internals, and cloud services monitoring and performance tuning.

• Architect and build a robust, scalable, and stable infrastructure for PayPay's AWS-based payment system.
• Architect and build infrastructure that is easily maintainable during patching and upgrades.
• Architect and build infrastructure with AWS regional level failure tolerance.
• Work together with Security Engineers to provision a secure infrastructure.
• Develop automations for AWS deployments to ensure fast delivery of cloud services to developers.
• Provide means for developers to easily deploy resources on AWS through automations.
• Maintain over 200 servers in a production, customer-facing cloud environment.
• Demonstrate skill in Python and shell scripting for automation.
• Have extensive technical hands-on experience with computing, storage, and analytical services on AWS.
• Familiarity with IAC tools in AWS such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
• Experience with Linux internals and system administration.
• Monitor, detect, and respond to cloud services.
• Perform performance tuning, cost controls, and management of cloud services.
• Manage cloud infrastructure service patching and upgrades.
• Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in a technology-related field, experience with other cloud service providers, experience with open-source tools, published papers/blogs/articles, experience in managing IT compliance and security risk, and relevant certifications.

• More than 5 years of technical experience in AWS based Infrastructure architect and building
• Has maintained over 200 servers in a production, customer facing cloud environment
• Demonstrated skill with Python and Shell Scripting
• Extensive technical hands-on experience of Computing, Storage and Analytical Services on Cloud(AWS)
• Experience with IAC tools in AWS such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation
• Experience with Linux Internals and System Administration
• Experience with Cloud Services Monitoring, Detection and Response
• Experience in Cloud Services Performance Tuning, cost controls and management
• Experience in Cloud Infrastructure Service patching and upgrades
• Bachelor’s degree and above in a technology related field (preferred)
• Experience with other cloud service providers (e.g GCP, Azure) (preferred)
• Experience using and contributing to Open Source tools (preferred)
• Published papers / blogs / articles (preferred)
• Experience in managing IT compliance and security risk (preferred)
• Relevant and verifiable certifications - JLPT Level 3 or above (preferred)
