About The Position

The Cardiac Telemetry Unit at renowned Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking a dedicated and loyal Clinical Technician to join the team Full-time! Requirements

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
• Special Skills: Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.
• Training: Must be available for six (6) weeks of paid training, consisting of virtual modules, classroom-style sessions from 8AM - 4:30PM, and on-unit training with department hired into (times TBD).
• Experience: Prior clinical experience in healthcare is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurse.
• Assists with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Performs blood draws.
• Inserts IVs.
• Inserts catheters and Foley catheters.
• Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
• Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.
