About The Position

The Clinical Program Coordinator RN - Trauma at Providence Alaska Medical Center is responsible for data abstraction from medical records of trauma patients for the Alaska Trauma Registry. This role supports report generation and data validation programs, contributing to injury research, epidemiology, quality improvement, and enhancing trauma care delivery. The coordinator works closely with the Trauma Medical Director and Trauma Program Manager to monitor and coordinate trauma system elements, ensuring a multidisciplinary team approach to optimize patient care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited/approved school of Nursing.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
  • Within 1 year of hire: TNCC, ATCN, ENPC, Stop the Bleed Instructor certifications.
  • Within 1 year of hire: Professional nursing certification such as TCRN, CEN, CCRN, CFRN, or CPEN.
  • 2 years of recent nursing experience in Emergency Department, Critical Care, medivac, or Pediatric Intensive Care nursing.

Responsibilities

  • Data abstraction from medical records of trauma patients for the Alaska Trauma Registry.
  • Support report generation and data validation programs.
  • Contribute to injury research and epidemiology.
  • Enhance trauma care delivery to patients.
