About The Position

The Clinical Education and Quality Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, planning, executing, evaluating and providing education activities and orientation programs to clinical staff, and management of the Augusta Medical Group quality program. Education planning will be in collaboration with the Professional Practice & Development team. Responsible for all related quality data collection, analysis, and monitoring of programmatic and clinical goals. Updates and facilitates clinical competencies, policies and procedures and special projects as assigned. Leads AMG Shared Governance Council. Serves as a resource to leadership, staff and preceptors in the areas of clinical process, clinical knowledge and skills. Reports to the Chief Operating Officer of AMG, and indirectly to the Director for Professional Practice & Development.

Requirements

  • B.S.N. Required.
  • Current and valid Registered nurse license in Virginia or from a Compact agreement state.
  • Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a practicing clinician or adult educator.
  • Minimum 1 year medical group experience.
  • Quality management experience Preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • MSN or Master's Degree in related field Preferred.
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) Preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, plan, execute, and evaluate education activities and orientation programs for clinical staff.
  • Manage the Augusta Medical Group quality program.
  • Collaborate with the Professional Practice & Development team for education planning.
  • Collect, analyze, and monitor quality data related to programmatic and clinical goals.
  • Update and facilitate clinical competencies, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead the AMG Shared Governance Council.
  • Serve as a resource to leadership, staff, and preceptors regarding clinical processes and knowledge.
  • Mentor and support clinical providers in their professional development.
  • Oversee all education for the medical group to support evidence-based practice.
  • Manage and coordinate all AMG-related quality activities.
  • Serve as coordinator and liaison for Quality Improvement and Peer Review Committee.
  • Identify areas of clinical risk and coordinate response plans.
  • Coordinate and facilitate sub-committees or special project meetings for accreditation standards.
  • Perform medical record review and data collection for assigned patient populations.
  • Provide support and organizational services to Augusta Health accreditation committees.
  • Encourage Evidence Based Practices in clinical settings.
  • Educate staff on best practices and make recommendations for clinical onboarding.
  • Engage in continuous learning activities and attend educational programs.
