About The Position

As a Retail Sales Professional with Clayton Homes, your main job purpose will be to create a world-class home buying experience by assisting customers in identifying a floor plan, selecting options, and coordinating the construction process. You will be part of a company that is committed to providing unparalleled customer service from the moment customers visit one of our Home Centers until they take ownership of their new home. This role offers a base salary of $60k plus a lucrative commission plan, with unlimited career and earning potential.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of relationship-driven business to consumer sales experience preferred.
• General understanding of the retail environment.
• Ability to obtain appropriate manufactured home sales licensing.
• Learn and comply with legal requirements for the sale of manufactured homes.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to excel and contribute to a team environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work required schedule, including Saturdays.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Ability to walk the lot and show homes throughout all seasons.
• Ability to move and lift furniture and promotional items (up to 75 lbs.).
• Subject to criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Create a world-class home buying experience for customers.
• Assist customers in identifying floor plans and selecting options.
• Coordinate the construction process for customers.
• Maintain customer files and provide timely follow-up with prospective buyers via the company's CRM system.
• Assist manager in selecting inventory and maintaining the appearance of homes.
• Develop and execute a strategic sales and marketing plan to increase home center traffic.
• Present display homes to potential buyers and demonstrate features and benefits.
• Set appointments for home center visits using prospect database and converting leads.
• Participate in all sales meetings, training opportunities, and company-sponsored functions.
• Work cooperatively in a team environment and assist with miscellaneous duties as required.
