About the position

To support the Claims department by drafting, editing and finalizing meeting reports, summaries, and related documentation. This will include ensuring clear, accurate, timely, and professional communication of key claims updates. Support on related projects aimed at improving the delivery of management information to the business. Deliver insight and drive innovation using internal and external data to furnish reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Committee, Executive, and Board reporting process on behalf of Claims, including working with relevant stakeholders to gather information for inclusion and timely submission of reports.
  • Facilitate the draft, edit, finalization, and submission processes.
  • Ensure all materials produced for reporting adhere to organisational standards, tone, and compliance requirements.
  • Content may include qualitative and quantitative materials, including claims specific summaries, data trends, and analysis on industry specific topics.
  • Support claims performance measurement / management efforts including production of regular and ad-hoc management information for presentation or distribution to the Team as required, leveraging Excel, Power BI, and/or other reporting tools supported by Beazley.
  • Produce regular and ad-hoc management information for presentation or distribution to the senior management team, underwriters, directors, members of the board, actuary, etc as required.
  • Prepare, interpret, and analyse claims and other statistics in response to business as usual and ad-hoc requests for information.
  • Interact with claims managers, and proactively develop reports to assist the business.
  • Liaise with IT, underwriters, actuaries, accountants, etc. and other areas of the group as required.
  • Provide active support to relevant business projects, as required, and assist in the development of reporting processes across the organisation.
  • Participate in and lead meetings as required.
  • Produce and maintain procedures documentation for own tasks.
  • Organise ad hoc papers and reports for meetings as requested by or agreed with the GCMT.
  • Utilize JIRA or other relevant project tracking software.

Requirements

  • Graduate with a degree from any discipline.
  • Preferred disciplines include: Business Administration or Management, Finance or Accounting, Data Science or Analytics, Information Systems or Computer Science, Economics, and Communications or Journalism.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent grammar, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism, particularly with sensitive information.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Motivational skills, team worker as well as able to work on own initiative.
  • The ability to work to deadlines and prioritise multiple tasks.
  • An enquiring mind, able to use all media to obtain relevant information and data for use in management information.
  • Basic understanding of the insurance industry.
  • Understanding for the need for accurate and timely management information.
  • Expert knowledge of the MS Office suite products.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially for grammar and formatting.
