About The Position

Requirements

• Master's in chemistry or Bachelor's in chemistry/biochemistry with a Master's in a related field.
• Experience in curriculum development and student performance evaluation.
• Ability to support historically underrepresented and underserved students.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum Development: Review and evaluate curriculum to meet student needs and budget constraints; coordinate with part-time instructors; present proposals for curriculum changes.
• Lecture/Laboratory Preparation: Prepare lesson plans, coordinate with instructional assistants, and ensure the availability of materials and equipment.
• Lecture/Laboratory Presentation: Present information clearly, encourage student participation, and supervise laboratory activities.
• Student Performance Evaluation: Develop quizzes and tests, monitor student activity during assessments, and assign grades.
• Shared Governance Participation: Attend departmental meetings, participate in curriculum development, and serve on committees.
• Ancillary Student Services: Hold office hours, provide academic advice, and participate in student award ceremonies.
