About The Position

Turner Industries is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) for a full-time position in the Plaquemine, LA area. The CWI inspects, accepts and/or rejects work performed in compliance with applicable codes and specifications. This role is ideal for local candidates as there is no per diem offered. The position requires a CWI certification and a valid driver's license.

Requirements

• CWI certification required.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in all aspects of welding.
• Hazard Communication orientation/test.
• Turner Industries Group, LLC indoctrination.
• OSHA approved corrective eyewear (Z87).
• Job site orientation.
• Job site safety requirements as required by the client.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Welding Inspector preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, accept and/or reject work performed in compliance with applicable codes and specifications.
• Develop an understanding and working knowledge of the company quality control program, company standards, procedures, codes, etc. required to perform assigned work.
• Perform inspections and witness tests to determine acceptability of work.
• Perform audits to ensure compliance with QA/QC requirements.
• Define corrective measures for problem areas and ensure implementation.
• Maintain work performance records, inspection records and other related items.
• Assure correctness of all documents.
• Perform additional assignments as required.
