About The Position

The Certified Ambulance Coder position at City Staffing involves working within the medical billing team to ensure accurate coding and billing for ambulance services. Requirements

• Certified Ambulance Coder (CAC) certification required.
• 2+ years of experience in ambulance coding and billing.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and HCPCS coding guidelines.
• 1+ years of experience with Zoll AR Boost software.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Revenue cycle management: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Validate patient demographic details and insurance information.
• Audit pre-hospital care reports to confirm completeness and accuracy for billing purposes.
• Apply appropriate ICD-10 diagnosis codes and HCPCS procedure codes in alignment with patient care documentation and CMS guidelines.
• Assess the level of care and medical necessity for ambulance transport services.
• Compile and submit accurate claims to payers, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurers.
• Address denied or underpaid claims, ensuring timely resolution and reimbursement.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding and billing regulations to ensure compliance.
