Ceph Engineer

Adyen is seeking a senior System Engineer with a focus on ceph to join their infrastructure team in Amsterdam. The role involves building, scaling, and maintaining multiple ceph clusters on off-the-shelf hardware to store critical and non-critical data. The ideal candidate should have a solid Linux background, experience with networking, Ceph, AWS S3, and Python, as well as experience running ceph in production at PB scale. They should also have the ability to deep dive into code, network, and operating systems to find solutions. The role requires a team-player mindset, openness to feedback, and the ability to work in a 24/7 environment under pressure.

• Building, scaling out, and maintaining multiple ceph clusters
• Storing critical and non-critical data on ceph clusters
• Pushing technologies instead of just consuming them
