About The Position

The Central Admissions and Placement (CAP) Rehab Counselor at the Department of Juvenile Justice plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive case management services to court-involved youth. Requirements

• Valid driver's license required.
• Knowledge of juvenile justice programming and evidence-based practices.
• Experience in case management practices preferred.
• Ability to evaluate and develop initial comprehensive re-entry case plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive case management services to juveniles committed to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
• Review case files to ensure the accuracy of confinement lengths and identify necessary services.
• Develop comprehensive re-entry case plans based on evaluation results and target criminogenic needs.
• Serve as a liaison between DJJ and alternative programs to promote effective communication and partnerships.
• Facilitate orientation/intake within 24 hours of resident arrival and notify parents/guardians of the admission process.
• Monitor the needs and rights of residents and intervene as necessary through regular contact.
• Complete and submit release packets including all required forms.
