About The Position

The substitute will work in the capacity for which they are hired. As a teacher substitute, the individual will teach, train, lead, guide, and follow the lesson plans to properly educate the grade level(s) in their care. These also could be clerical tasks, supervision tasks, and class coverage tasks as needed. As a substitute, the individual must take ownership of the assigned role so that students are always well supervised and taught per the provided plans.

Requirements

• A strong personal commitment to Jesus Christ
• A strong commitment to the philosophies and mission of Calvary Chapel
• Bachelor's Degree
• Ability to lead and communicate with children
• Ability to multi-task and become easily oriented
• The ability to be 'with it' and monitor groups of children with a positive disciplinary approach
• Ability to be flexible and open to coming at the last minute and filling the gap where needs are evident
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• A servant's heart for Christ and His children
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs

Responsibilities

• Model Christ in word and deed while teaching students with provided lesson plans
• Follow CCA Staff regulations, guidelines, procedures
• Provide a safe environment for kids
• Assist teachers with required tasks, duties, and class coverage
