About The Position

The Security Operations Engineer at Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC will focus on the Netskope ZTNA platform, responsible for developing, configuring, and managing security policies to protect data, ensure compliance, and prevent security threats. This role involves collaboration with security teams, network engineers, and application administrators to implement and enforce security policies aligned with the organization's strategy and goals.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance (DoD Secret).
  • 3-6 years of experience working in a SOC environment as a Security Engineering Specialist.
  • Experience supporting a large global enterprise environment.
  • Experience with Netskope (or competitor) implementation.
  • Experience with scripting such as PowerShell, Python, and JavaScript.
  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of IP protocols and ports.
  • Understanding of incident response methodologies and technologies.
  • Familiarity with key security models and regulations such as ISO 2700X, SOX, CMMC, and PCI.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Aptitude to learn new technologies.
  • Customer service skills including resolution of customer escalations, incident handling, and response.

Nice To Haves

  • Cloud security experience.
  • Programming and/or scripting experience (C, .NET, Python, Perl, etc.).
  • Previous experience in Unix/Linux and the editor vi.
  • Technical certifications such as CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, GCFA, GPEN, GCCF, CISA, CWSP, CCSP, CCNP, MSCE, or other relevant certifications in vulnerability analysis, ethical hacking techniques, or penetration testing.
  • Experience in change control, problem management, incident management, and troubleshooting of security solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Configure security policies on the Netskope ZTNA platform.
  • Ensure the integrity of client IT infrastructures.
  • Tune and enable policies, features, and enhancements in response to security incidents and client requests.
  • Troubleshoot the potential impact of security tooling on business applications.
  • Respond and follow core IT Service Management Principles.
