About The Position

The Capacity Solutions Pre-Sales Engineer for PS Federal at Cisco is responsible for driving the adoption of AI solutions across various industries, particularly within US Government classified environments. This role involves identifying potential clients, understanding their specific needs, and providing tailored AI solutions that enhance business operations. The position requires a deep understanding of Data Center Compute & Networking, and the successful candidate will act as a liaison between technical teams, account teams, and customers, showcasing AI solutions and addressing challenges.

Requirements

• 6+ years of technical presales experience selling Compute, Storage, and Network solutions.
• Experience in Python and/or other platforms and programming languages such as MySQL, Github, Git, GO, ETL, OLAP, RDBMS, Scribus, AWS, Azure, Google or IBM Cloud.
• Experience with databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, Snowflake or BigQuery.
• Experience in AI/ML frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch or Hugging Face.
• Experience providing consumable documentation of standard methodologies for deployment around application acceleration, automation/management efficiencies, enterprise edge, and/or AI/ML solutions.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree is a plus.
• Excellent presentation skills for delivering engaging workshops to both technical and non-technical audiences on AI topics.
• AI experience with Nvidia, IBM, Microsoft, Dell, NetApp, HPE, and/or other AI vendors.
• In-depth understanding of language models, including GPT-3, BERT, or similar architectures.
• Expertise in training and fine-tuning LLMs using popular frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face Transformers.
• Experience in deploying LLM models in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises infrastructure.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes) for scalable and efficient model deployment.
