About The Position

The Camp Photographer is responsible for capturing the authentic camp experience by photographing camp attendees and activities. This role requires following specific photography assignments from camp photography leadership and ensuring the correct calibration of equipment in manual modes. The photographer will operate and maintain various photography equipment, including cameras, flashes, and telephoto lenses, while also cleaning and maintaining this equipment. Additionally, the photographer will maintain records and prepare reports related to their work. This position does not involve supervisory responsibilities and does not require travel.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • 6-12 months experience in a photography environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Working knowledge of digital camera systems (Sony mirrorless preferred), various lenses, and lighting equipment.
  • Understanding of manual camera settings for various photographic situations.

Responsibilities

  • Photograph camp attendees to document the authentic camp experience.

  • Operate and maintain equipment such as cameras, flashes, and telephoto lenses.

  • Maintain records and prepare reports and correspondence relative to the work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
