About The Position

The Civil CAD Designer position at DDG is a full-time role focused on producing site civil engineering and land development design plans. The designer will work closely with civil engineers to create high-quality drawing packages that are essential for project construction and client solutions. This role emphasizes efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to established standards and budgetary constraints.

Requirements

• Proficient with AutoCAD and 3D Civil programs.
• 0-2+ years of experience with an Engineering Firm.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently producing site civil engineering and/or land development design plans.
• Development and plotting of maps showing topographical contours, elevations, profiles, and cross-sections.
• Produce plans including drainage, grading, water, wastewater, signage, and marking plans for industrial, commercial, and residential site development.
• Produce plan-profile drawings for public infrastructure improvement projects.
• Prepare drainage calculations and cut and fill calculations.
• Visualize and plan the geographic representation of designs for land development related projects including industrial, commercial, and municipal.
• Respect and work efficiently within the budgetary constraints established by the Project Manager.
• Understand and integrate DDG CAD Standards, clarity and accuracy of documents, and client-dictated design criteria.
• Promote DDG's core values, internally and externally, and comply with the DDG Manual.
• Proactively seek assignments as workload is provided by the Project Manager.
• Achieve project objectives by collaborating with the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager.
• Communicate as required with Senior Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, CAD Operators, and clerical staff.
