About The Position

Wieland is hiring a CAD-Admin. As a key member of our team, the CAD Administrator for the North American region, coordinating all CAD-related activities in alignment with our global CAD administrator based in Europe. You will primarily support global engineering teams, as well as local engineering teams across our production facilities in North America. Working alongside a team of Capex project engineers, you will have the opportunity to engage with your internal clients directly, gaining valuable insights into their needs. This role will allow you to play an integral part in developing conceptual solutions that support Wieland's business expansion and continuous process improvement goals. This role is located in Edwardsville, IL and will be fully on-site. While this role is local, occasional travel to other locations will be required (15-25% travel).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechatronics engineering, mechanical engineering or related degree
• 5-7 years related job experience in engineering & CAD-administration
• Good understanding of network-communication and design
• Strong fundamental knowledge of 3D-design (Siemens NX2306), 2D-design (ACAD-Mechanical 2023), SAP
• Expertise in the following is beneficial: Office 365, Kisters (Viewer), programming skills(vb.net), Inventor, Simulation tools, PM
• Strong organizational & communicational skills to support interdisciplinary project teams
• Team player with good didactical skills
• Structured and self-organized working methods

Responsibilities

• License managing for our CAD-standard softwares
• First level support (hotline for users) for our CAD standard softwares (Siemens NX (3D), ACAD-Mechanical (2D), ECTR (engineering control center as CAD/SAP interface)
• Second level support for our CAD standard softwares
• Managing our key partner for CAD-topics in NA
• Organization of CAD-trainings
• Point of contact for the CAD related IT-interfaces & coordination with IT-Team
• Joint coordination of our internal CAD-standards in alignment with our global CAD-Admin
• Implementation of software upgrades and patches
• Internal marketing of our standard solutions in NA
• Estimate costs and request budgets for internal CAD topics
• All topics related to digitalization in engineering in general (CAD/CAM, Simulation, VR, AR, 3D-scanning tools, and others)
• Substitution for global CAD-admin during vacations
