About The Position

The Cable Installation Technician at Galcom Inc. is responsible for providing high-quality installation and troubleshooting services for residential television, internet, and phone services. This role involves performing new connects, reconnects, upgrades, and disconnects while ensuring compliance with cable standards and specifications. The technician will also be expected to deliver exceptional customer service and educate customers about the products offered.

Requirements

• Must have a vehicle capable of carrying a 28' ladder (SUV, VAN, or TRUCK).
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Must be able to pass drug screening and background check.
• Experience in cabling, preferably 1 year in markets like Comcast, Spectrum, COX, Altice, DISH, or DirecTV.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in cable installation or related fields is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform new connects, reconnects, upgrades, and disconnects for residential television, internet, and phone services.
• Troubleshoot all services up to cable standards and specifications.
• Address issues related to noise and ingress during installations.
• Relocate cable outlets, replace/install drops, and add converters and modems as needed.
• Manage interior and exterior wiring paths for installations.
• Provide first-class customer service and detailed education on all products.
