About the position
As a Business Information Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing and directing activities related to the analysis, design, and support of business information management solutions. This position requires a highly seasoned professional with substantial knowledge and expertise in a complex field, particularly in business information management processes and procedures. You will be the primary subject matter expert in multiple areas, consulting with clients and project teams, and working autonomously on a diverse range of tasks. Your responsibilities will include developing data repositories, warehouses, and marts, as well as supporting data modeling capabilities and business teams in understanding data and reporting solutions. You will also be responsible for developing data road maps and information management strategies, driving data-centric solution development, and ensuring compliance with enterprise data standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage and direct activities related to analysis, design, and support of business information management solutions.
- Develop data repositories, warehouses, and marts, and support data modeling capabilities.
- Analyze, design, and develop data movement, data wrangling, data mapping, and transformation (ETL) processes.
- Support solutions, applications, platforms, and tools leveraged across functional groups.
- Develop data road maps and information management strategies.
- Collaborate with technology and business partners to resolve issues and ensure requirements are met.
- Conduct meaningful analysis at the functional or enterprise level to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
- Mentor and coach others in the team.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in business administration, statistical, mathematical, scientific, or financial background.
- Advanced knowledge of various data sources, tools, and technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in decision-making.
Nice-to-haves
- 5+ years experience with Databricks/Azure/AWS/GCP or any cloud platform.
- 5+ years experience with SQL.
- 5+ years experience with Alteryx/Python/MS Power apps.
- 3+ years experience with Collibra.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with Power BI/Tableau or any Data Visualization tool.
- Any certification within Business Analyst or Data Analyst or Scrum space.
