About the position

In this role as a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Cloudflare, you will be responsible for delivering pipeline at scale to the Sales team and being the first point of contact for customers. You will develop your sales skills, learn about Cloudflare's products and services, and provide recommendations and solutions to customers. This role requires fluency in Mandarin and English, and offers the opportunity for career growth within the company. As a BDR, you will play a crucial role in nurturing customer relationships and identifying expansion opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for customers that need help finding solutions
  • Develop customer centric sales skills to deliver a stellar customer experience
  • Learn Cloudflare's products and services in detail
  • Be responsible for being the "face of Cloudflare" and account resource for PAYGO customers
  • Manage own "book of business" to nurture relationships with free, pro, and business customers
  • Identify opportunities for expansion within the customer base
  • Provide recommendations and solutions to customers based on a basic understanding of Cloudflare's suite of products
  • Leverage tools such as Google Sheets/Airtable, internal applications, Sales Navigator, and ZoomInfo to map customers to the right product suite
  • Meet target quota related to number of qualified opportunities, value of sales pipeline, and revenue
  • Develop new business opportunities from existing customer base
  • Identify target accounts with strategic timing and strong use cases
  • Work cross-functionally with stakeholders
  • Help lead BDR team-wide campaigns or initiatives
  • Write compelling emails and letters, make compelling calls
  • Report, track, and manage sales activities and results using SFDC
  • Play an active role in the creation and iteration of team processes
  • Be self-motivated and have an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Comfortably work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Have strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Have a customer-oriented mindset with empathy and curiosity
  • Have the aptitude to learn technical concepts/terms
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in BDR or similar capacity in technology industry preferred, specifically in SaaS
  • Experience in Google Sheets, Outreach, SFDC reporting, and data analysis is a plus
