The job overview for this position is that Aurora is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their Trucking Commercialization team. The main responsibilities of this role include identifying and building strategic relationships with trucking partners, developing sales strategies, driving key initiatives, negotiating agreements with partners, and analyzing the competitive landscape. The successful candidate should have at least 2 years of BD experience, be detail-oriented, a strong communicator, and passionate about the AV space. The base salary range for this position is $122,000 to $195,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Identify, source, and build strategic relationships with trucking partners
- Assist in developing sales strategies to support business scale
- Drive key initiatives and develop strategies for engaging additional partners and differentiating from competitors
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external contacts to draft and negotiate agreements with partners
- Build and maintain financial models to support negotiations and partner engagement strategy
- Bring customer voice into product development process for refinement
- Analyze competitive landscape and provide suggestions for partner engagements
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives to ensure customer success with Aurora Horizon service offering
Requirements
- 2+ years of BD experience, including some in logistics or a field related to AVs, the automotive, mobility, or hardware spaces
- Detail-oriented and a strong communicator
- Demonstrable big "wins" from prior roles
- Passionate about the AV space
- Experience working with CRM applications (e.g., Salesforce, Oracle) is a plus
