Media have recognized us among the top fastest growing companies in the US five times - 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021. We are looking for a Business Development Executive to join our growing team. As a BDE, you will be responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships, assessing client specific needs, promoting, and selling Sealink International Inc. services, and maintaining sales goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Freight Forwarding
  • Experience in sales is a strong asset
  • Experience in Logistics, Profit and Loss, and FFWs (Freight Forwarders and Agents) in the North American markets
  • Excellent communication skills, and able to effectively communicate internally and externally
  • Sound organization, prioritization and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

  • Build your own book of business through cold calling, face-to-face meetings, networking, and closing new deals
  • Conduct sales pitches and presentations with nationwide customer accounts
  • Develop and execute a business plan that will generate hyper revenue growth and exceed the sales quotas set by the company
  • Engage continuously with customers to maintain close relationships and ensure ongoing success with accounts
  • Prospect, call, quote, meet, and follow up with potential clients
  • Cross sell and upsell to accounts, closing business with new products and routes
  • Update and maintain CRM
  • Provide quotes for current and prospective clients
  • Secure and maintain new business
  • Monitor international freight forwarding market trends and conditions
